Our Story
Orchid Lane is a fragrance house based in Calgary.
It begins with what lingers. Tea on the stove. Incense burning slowly. Rain hitting concrete through an open window. Fruit left in fabric from the day before. Nothing rare. Just the way scent holds onto ordinary moments.
Founded by Iman, a Somali Canadian independent perfumer born in Pisa, raised in Vancouver, and later living in Gumi, Orchid Lane is shaped by movement between places. Over time, scent became a way of understanding what remains when everything else shifts.
Each fragrance is a diary. Not of events, but of moments that felt clear enough to hold onto.
Every place has a scent. Sometimes it is something brought into it. Fruit in the hands, sweetness that lingers, catching in the air as someone moves. It blends into the moment until it cannot be separated from it.
Each scent is composed by hand in small batches using modern perfumery materials. Built slowly, in layers, they are allowed to soften and settle rather than project outward.
They stay close. They unfold quietly. They wear like something remembered.
Orchid Lane is a collection of places that never fully left.
