Our Story
Orchid Lane is a Canadian fragrance house founded by perfumer Iman and her mother, Deqa, candlemaker.
It began with oils and wax in a kitchen and became a family house shaped by memory and contrast, refined yet raw, delicate yet untamed.
Iman is the nose of Orchid Lane. She shapes fruit, florals, and woods into textured worlds of memory: Italian summers, Cowboy Leather in Calgary, and Rainmilk, born of Vancouver rain where she was raised and the shaah, Somali spiced tea, that perfumed her home.
Deqa is the candlemaker. She makes the invisible visible, translating each composition into form. With discipline, precision, and a relentless eye for detail, she ensures every pour, every burn, every release carries presence, weight, and permanence.
Orchid Lane exists to bring forward the stories that fragrance often leaves behind. Not made to decorate. Made to shift perspective and to linger in air, on skin, in memory.
